I know, I know, shopping for fall season clothes is not as exciting as for spring or summer but let's face it, we need to look good all year around. And why not make yourself feel better despite summer being over and wear a cute inexpensive outfit? Here is the look that I put together.
Flats. I'll start by admitting that I'm not a big pro on flats. I couldn't find a pair I liked for years. I like how they look on other girls but when it's time to buy them for myself I would always leave stores empty-handed. That all changed after my flats-loving girlfriend went shopping with me. We picked 5th floor in Macy's in the city as the place with most options, got our 20% off coupons and started our search. She picked multiple pairs and after trying them all I left with a winner. The color combination together with the gold chain in the front make these Marc Fisher flats ($63.20) look very sophisticated and appropriate for any occasion. I've been wearing them to work as well as with the above outfit for the casual weekend look.
Pants. The credit for these goes to my another girlfriend. She showed up for a dinner with me in these awesome-fitting black pants that I couldn't help but asked where they are from. "GAP" she said, "you won't believe it but I got them for $35!" True, I couldn't believe it. In part because I purchased a very similar pair in Club Monaco earlier this summer for 3 times the amount she spent. So head down to the GAP and check out fitted pants that are perfect if you are working at the office or need some type of formal outfit. Well, while I was looking for the pants my girlfriend was wearing I found these camel colored wide leg pants which I just loved. To me, everything in this color range reminds of Ralph Lauren style which I love and therefore looks just amazing. So by using these two items I created a casual but still dressed-up look to go to my friend's house welcoming party on Saturday night.
